Privacy Policy
PDFDig processes your documents entirely in your browser. We do not upload, collect, or store your file contents.
Last updated May 22, 2026
The short version: your files are never uploaded. All PDF processing happens locally in your browser, and we never see or store your document contents.
Files are not uploaded
When you use any PDFDig tool, your file is read into your browser's memory and processed on your device. No network request carrying your document is sent to PDFDig or any third party. The output is generated locally and offered to you as a download.
Processing happens locally
Every tool runs using libraries that execute in your browser. Because there is no server-side processing of your files, there is no server-side copy of them to retain, secure, or delete.
What we may store in your browser
To improve your experience, PDFDig may store small amounts of data locally on your device:
- Preferences such as theme, reduced motion, and whether local history is enabled (LocalStorage).
- Your recently used and favorite tools (LocalStorage).
- Aggregate, on-device usage counts to power your local dashboard (LocalStorage).
- An optional history of tool runs — metadata only, such as the tool name, output filename, and timestamp — stored in IndexedDB, and only if you turn it on.
Local history never includes your file's contents. It is off by default and stays on your device.
No document contents are collected
We do not collect, transmit, analyze, or store the contents of your documents. We have no ability to access files you process, because they never leave your device.
You can clear local data
You are in control of everything PDFDig stores in your browser. The local dashboard includes a 'Clear all local data' button that removes all preferences, recents, favorites, usage stats, and history. Clearing your browser's site data does the same.
Analytics and third parties
This version of PDFDig does not require external APIs to process your files. Any analytics, if added in the future, would be limited to anonymous, aggregate usage of the site itself and would never include document contents. Such changes would be reflected here.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how data is handled will be described clearly.
